Do you know if the engine is 6.0L (L67 260kW) or 5.7L (LS1 245kW)???

Seems strange there was no fuse for it...?

All my Holden V8's had it!!!

the motor is the 5.7L 260kw version. The monaro that went to the US, revised exhaust, redesigned fuel tank and the bonnet nostrils.

defs no fuse like what you described in the fusebox under the steering wheel. sorry a bit blurry:



Heres a pic of the fuse box in the engine bay, you can see the 15A BCM fuse which I tried.

The fuse you removed cuts power to the PCM along with a number of other circuits. So would have at least cleared the RAM in the PCM.

well the car is fixed, now runs fine. the problem? well I dont think I'll ever know. Holden reckons one of the injector fuses was missing (yes missing!), i.e. it was running on 4 cylinders, to which i call bs since i checked these 2 fuses after the problem came about. they did chuck it on the diognistics thingy so maybe a full reset of the ecu was required.

anyway i didnt question holden too much as it only cost $85. (The horn issue on the other hand cost $280 for the 2 horns and labour, no wiring. i trust that at this price they are gold plated and spray gold flakes upon every press of the horn pad.)

Sorry I missed you yesterday, was too busy running around finding cars.

Yep the price for genuine parts is a bit steep and no they are not gold plated.

The other solution is to buy a FORD.

Then he would have real issues!!!!
