Hi All,
I just got a new work ute. It is a 2010 dual cab 2WD Triton GLX auto with the 2.5L T/D. Now my question is does anyone know what the difference is between the engine in the 2WD and the 4WD GLX-R. The specs are
2WD GLX
2.5L T/D
17.0:1 CR
100kW
314Nm @ 2000rpm
4WD GLX-R
2.5L T/D
16.5:1 CR
131kW (only in 4WD model)
350Nm @ 2000rpm (auto)
Apart from compression ratio I don't know what the difference is between the 2 motors. I would like to know if it is possible to perform some sort of upgrade (software/factory engine management chip etc) to get closer to the more powerful motor specs. Also I am looking for the factory differences and do not want to install an external 3rd party part like DP chip etc. I tried looking around on the net but had no luck.
Hoping a couple of the intelligent PP members might know
TIA
Mark.
