I was out the front of my place this morning at 08:17 when it hit. I watched as the ground visibly moved and it looked like a rippling wave as it passed through our street. The Prado rocked side to side, as did my camper that I was doing some work on. All the windows rattled and the colourbond roofs groaned as the 5.0 magnitude quake cut across Boulder and through Kalgoorlie. People ran out into the street.
There must have been a couple of dozen after shocks, including one just a few minutes ago. Some of the older buildings in Boulder copped damage - mostly a few of the old 2 storey pubs (circa 1900) lost verandahs and roofs, with many old brick walls crumbling to the street. A few locals are upset because their watering holes have been shut until engineers can examine the damage.
