  • Help -Please

As a new Prado owner( 2004 GXL -111,000 kms on board) I begin now to look for the extras. Advice please on where to find good prices on:
    1) CB Radio & antenna
    2) Caravan brake controllers
    3) Spotties (they seem to have gone through the roof)

Any other advice that you can give that I should have for caravanning.

I am thrilled with my purchase and love driving the Prado. Traded a Suzuki Grand Vitara (2006) and man can I tell the difference. This is the first second hand car I have owned since the 70's but it's just magic.

There used to also be Contact Communication but they went into Administration early in the year. They were really good on prices and bet Prestiage on some while Prestiage beat them on others.

                Re: Help -Please

Has anyone had a brake controller installed in the ashtray holder. I read somewhere that the Tekonsha P3 fits there. As there is little room for other things (eg Cb radio) in the cab I thought this a good idea. Thanks Andy and others by the way for your advice. I am at Bateau Bay on the NSW Central Coast.

Any idea what an auto elec might charge to install the brake controller.

Hey Geecee...I will if I get the chance this weekend. I am going to use an ashtray and cut it up and use it. you can do it either way. I am giong to wire myself. I think if you did all the work ahead of time as in install the P3 and run the wire to the back and all the Auto Electrican does is make your connections you could get away with 100$
