    Re: Interstate Car Transport

Yeh! we'v had the same thought, regarding the train on the return trip.I think that it would be great, but not to sure about the price, train travel is all the go with the first class traveler these days, and i think it's priced to match and we would definatly wont a sleeper,I'v done the bus and do not recomend siting up for 3 days n 2 nights at all.
Will have a look into priceing.

there must be a better option of placing vehicles on a train. I would like to do the Gibb River Road etc but time constraints make it difficult. Placing your vehicle on a train would be good and.

What about placing on a container? Ship?

            Re: Interstate Car Transport

I know someone in Darwin that has brought his car down to Melbourne a couple of times, it cost him $800. Train to Adelaide and then truck to Melbourne.
Its more cost effective backloading, ie there is more goods going to Perth and Darwin than from Darwin and Perth to Melbourne.
Don`t know if same applies to Cairns
So it might be better driving there and seeing what option there are getting back home.
From memory he said it was $1500 from Melbourne to Darwin.

Maximum width 2.2m. Maximum height Sydney – Adelaide/ Melbourne – Adelaide 1.57m; Adelaide – Darwin 2.00m. Roof racks, wind deflectors, louvers etc must be removed before loading

stepped up the a 200 LC for towing,
but had a 2012 and 2010 150 Prado GXL auto diesel in Graphite with Bridgestone D697 A/T. Dobinson C59-300/325 and Bilsteins. Accessories : two baby seats. Sidewinder`s Dual Battery isolator and rear power outlet kit. Pirana Battery tray, Hayman Reese towbar with Toyota wiring kit and Brains`s guard.

I need to transport the car in my location to the place where I got shifted and I utilized the service of air road direct. I think they are the best in class service providers and according to me it worth giving this particular company a thought for interstate transport.

I transported my car from Perth to Sydney with Eric Bilston and I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT

They did a big scratch on it and they turned on responsibility for it
