What do you do for a living?

At the moment I do communications for the water police in Fremantle. Before that was a divemaster at AQWA doing the dive with sharks tours. Before that I was a diving instructor in Port Douglas and Hayman Is in the whitsundays.
My first job was as a mechanic for .......toyota! Moved onto Mercs, audi and rollers then back to Lexus. Saw the light after 17 years and will never go back to that job!!

Married to a great wife who works for CRS in Rockingham.

Wow a varied background as expected. Great that a vehicle can unite us in common ground.

I am a pilot with Virgin Blue flying Boeing 737NG aircraft. We are getting new Embraer 170/190's soon as well as Boeing 777-300 for international ops.

I started to learn to fly when I was 20, took 3 years and my first few jobs were with no pay for many years to get hours. Lucky I have a great wife who supported me all that time.

I am currently a co-pilot on the 737 and hopefully will get my command this year. Been a co-pilot now for 9 years with various companies including Sunstate Airlines and FlightWest Airlines in Queensland. Originally a Perth boy.

As I mentioned, married to a wonderful wife, with two wonderful children.

Hi i'm Matt, 27, Electrical fitter/mechanic, I work for the NT Government, and perform breakdown and maintenence on the underground power system pretty much. My excellent partner Mandy works for the same Corporation and performs recruitment in out HR dept, No she didnt get me the job , and we met before she worked there.
Been in the NT for 15yrs and wouldn't live any where else, well maybe some parts of WA, Being in the NT got me into 4wd this is my 5th 4wd, also had 2 luxes, a bunderra and a jackaroo.

My job title is Simulation technical officer trainee. I work for the world's largest full flight simulator manufacturer, CAE. I maintain the flight simulators for the Royal Australian Air Force Airlift Training Facility at RAAF Base Richmond, NSW.

Im an electrican / Fire alarm tech. Install, service and repair fire alarm systems. Spend most of my time at the worlds busiest coal export terminal in Newcastle, but we have other mining, industrial and comercial customers also.

Maintenance fitter. In the printing industry.
Started my apprenticeship in Sydney "john sands printing" in '85.
Been transferred, bought out, relocated until 2001 when I thought that was enough, lets try something different.
Moved to Nth west Tas after getting a job in a hydraulic machine shop.
Started in field service (graduation in hydraulic) on everything from Carrot harvesters to ships, logging equipment and underground hydraulics at Beaconsfield gold mine etc.
Got back into printing industry in Burnie Tas. That co got bought out by australia's biggest rural newspaper co "rural press".
An offer for relocation at Mandurah WA came up within the group and we grabbed it.
Looking after a $30million printing press and bindery
Recent merger with Fairfax media now makes this company the biggest media group in the nation. over $9 Billion worth.
But being in WA, the mining sector looks attractive. $$$$
38, Married, 2 kids.
1 prado, Kawasaki ZX6R (which I used to race- As high as 6th in NSW championship 2000) Boat, Camper trailer.
have caught a travel bug that needs itching often.

My Job, not as exciting as some up here, But i am a Regional Manager for the Coles Group, i look after the whole Northside of Brisbane, 17 stores in total. I have 2500 people working for me so i don't get much down time.

Retired since retrenchment back in 1993, and am now trying to spend kids inheritance.

Main job is looking after a self managed Superannuation fund , researching shares to buy and sell.

Previous vehicle was an 80 series and can’t wait for the Prado.

Hi all. What a top idea. Really does show the diversity amongst us.

I own a small web development company in Brisbane (Puremedia), servicing a wide client base.

We build custom web applications, intranet solutions and other systems using web based technology.

I've just spent the last few months developing http://www.vouchorgrouch.com.au; a website where customers can review and post comments on local businesses. It's in the very early stages of release however the feedback has been great and i think it will take off. Thats where most of my attention is at the moment.

I received a phone call from Flight Operations yesterday, seems they think that I should become a Captain.................... Lots and lots of study ahead for my command training. Going to be based out of Sydney at this stage, but will probably commute backwards and forwards to Brisbane.
