Hi forumers,

quick intro b4 catching some zeds, self employed plumber, have run my own business for ten years, had employees in the past but couldnt be bothered with the stress!

big year for my wife and i, both turn 40, 10 yr anniversary & 10 yrs in business. son 7 and daughter 5, all love camping & getting away from it all. wife has just qualified as a personal trainer and started her own business as well.

love the flinders and outback, trying to organise a trip to vic high plains or otways in the april holidays.

Hi all.
I've been on pradopoint for a couple of months and not found this thread before so i thought i'd join in too.

I'm an electrician and my wife Jill and I run our own electrical contracting business in Dubbo NSW. (private msg me for quotes, etc) :lol: :lol: :lol:
Been married for 5 years & we have 3 boys - all keen 4WDriver's.
We reckon our 90 series prado is tops and have joined our local 4WD club.

This forum has been very handy so far and i can't see that changing anytime soon

Hi all, have been on board for a short time and have read heaps of posts and learnt a bit as well. I am a chef and work on an Oil Platform in Bass Strait just off the coast of East Gippsland in Victoria. We live half and hour from the surf or half an hour the other way to the bush and high country, we love it and get out as much as we can.... cheeers Jim

Geeze I've learn't a lot from you guys. From what car deodoriser smells best in autumn to whacking in dual battery systems! It's all here!
I'm a chiropractor so I have virtually zero expertise in fixing and modifying 4wds, but I have to say its been fun so far.
My first car was a Datsun 200B, built the same year as me - 1979. I reckon I blew 46 fuses getting the cd player and speakers in. :?
From there I went to my sisters little Mitsubishi Colt. Needless to say I broke it and had to sell. Got $50 for it. :cry:
Then a mate said I should buy this Volvo. Said it would be a great car. Ummm... not good. :shock:
Then thought a subaru was the answer to my dreams. Picked up a 2005 Forester, drove it off the showroom floor. Thought I was the ducks guts. Then I got excited and drove it into Lake Glenamaggie in Gippsland. Had to get my girlfriend's pop to snatch me out. Guess what... he had a Prado.
Since that day my conscience has been saying; "Get a bloody Prado you silly lookin' bugger." So I got one last year.
Anyway, here I am.

Well I am retired.....early.....got out of the rat race at 52 and never looked back.

My first car was a Goggomobile Dart (a red one). I was young and stupid and sold it for $70.

I'm have the worst job in the world at the moment .

I'm a Bank Manager for one of the large four banks .. looking after releationship managed customer with banking up to $10 million dollars.
Been with the bank for over 15 years now

The best bit is I funded some rather cool cars for Customers ...BMW's Lexus , Toyota's and a second hand lambo last week

I am an Electrical Fitter/Mechanic by trade. I have just finished up as a Service Engineer for DBT, who were just bought out by Bucyrus. Bucyrus are the worlds biggest supplier of Open Cut Mining Equipment. DBT was the worlds second largest supplier of Underground Mining Equipment.

I have just gone back to my roots as an Underground Electrician in Central QLD. I work a fantastic roster. 7 on 7 off. 7 off is far better than 7 on!!!

I work as an Underground fitter at a minesite near Laverton called Granny Smith/Wallaby and have been doing this for about three years, previously I worked on public transport buses and before that did my apprenticeship as an automotive mechanic at the RAC

G'Day Steve here from WA, Iam 49 yrs young and married with 2 girls ,of which one has left home and married and the other has finished school and working. Have had 2 HiLuxs before moving to the Prado,IMHO the best car buit by Toyota except the rear door that should have been like the 80 series.
I started work as a Ovis.aries Technical Engineer (sheep shearer) for 10 yrs . Then I took up a position with the main grain handler in WA,Co-operative Bulk Handerling, as a Receival Point Manager for 21 yrs. Drove road trains for a bloke who promissed the world to me but when the time came he kept shifting the goal post so after 8 months told him what to do with his truck :evil: :evil: . Had to get DCEP to exrtact un paid overtime out of him . I am now working for a Rail Distribution Company as a Logistics Operator (locomotive operator) and loving it :lol: :lol: ,money for jam all though the hours are funny but the up side is sometimes my days off are during the week.
