  • Not very exciting but...
With young kids we lived in a suburb call Mt Warren Park and formed an informal camping group called the Mt Warren Wanderers (I know.. not very original). Anyway, this morphed into The Wanderers as the families spread far and wide and given my long standing nickname of Ozzie (short for my surname) we became WanderingOz. And having a second email address relating to this has been very handy.

    Cheers
    WOz

        • When I first got into 4wding, all my mates had nissans ( I know, I like to do my bit for the diadvantaged) Anyway, got a lot of shite hung on me for buying a Prado. 1st serious trip with them not only was I the only one not to get stuck but had to recover a few of them. They chose the name and it sort of stuck.

          Cheers

              • In my job everyone had a nickname or tag. I got Brains as I do a fair bit of research on different stuff and have a reasonably broad knowledge base. I also like tinkering with electrical products. Also as I wear glasses it was also linked to Brains from the Thunderbirds.

                  • About 6 years ago I needed a nick for an online game I was playing. We use quite a bit of Sodium Hydroxide (also known as Caustic Soda) at work. The game was a bit kooky and off the wall, and so the name seemed suitable.

Real name is Shane. Feel free to use it. I will answer to most things.

                    • My nickname is a shortened version of my surname and just came about through years of playing cricket, and the 68 is the year I was born - not very original but I won't forget it at least!

                      • Okay my initials are c and s. If you heard some one calling it over a two way really fast witha bit of fear in their voice and loud booming music in the background ie bouncer to bouncer in a night club it kinda sounds like fierce. This coupled with the fact that I am often described as a gangly slippery fighter you don't wanna pi** off through years of martial arts and that's how the name came about.

It never really took off in face to face, it's kind funny saying things like "hey fierce wanna grab drinks afterwork" so people usual call me Chris, cee, or toe fa. But that last one is another story you can probably figure out yourself.

Point is fierce was my bouncer radio call, so one day I got the plates for my car and joined my first online forum and needed a nick name so that's how it came to be.

                        • Ursos is the scientific name for several species of bear. One of my several nicknames in the past was "Grizzly" because I allegedly looked like Dan Haggerty of Grizzly Adams fame (can't see it myself but I did have long hair and beard at the time - still have the beard) but this one was already taken on this site so "Ursos" it is.
