Is there a power outlet in the back? Is this standard or an aftermarket item
There is a standard power outlet in the back on the right rear side

The interior lights go off too quickly when you turn off the ignition. By the time I get the log book out and start on an entry the lights fade out. They need to be on about twice as long as they are.
Ground clearance needs some help will just have to spend on tyres and suspension.
Cornering is crap again perhaps spending money on suspension may help?

I do that, then jump out of the car & find its still on the next morning, you think a fella would learn to turn them off

You can turn the front Map lights on manually... press on the lens.

Hi, love driving the Prado - mine is the 6 speed manual turbo diesel. I would like to request that the cruise control was a button on the steering wheel instead of an arm, As standard. If not put the arm on the steering column & not on steering wheel..
I must say, I don't like the big back door, I like the overseas Prados that have doors similar to an 80 series where the split and one folds up, one folds down. Especially in car parks, if you drive through and someone parks behind you, there isn't enough room to open the back door to load the groceries!
And I also don't like that the fuel gauge on the main tank only goes half way, before switching to the sub tank, bit deceiving!

Models with doors like that need to have the spare underneath, therefore can't have the sub-tank, so total fuel load 90 litres. It would solve your fuel guage problem though.
Not sure why Toyota never sold that variant in Australia - you could get both in NZ as far as I know.
Mines a 05 GXL, I'd love it to have stereo controls on the steering wheel and I agree with the fuel gauge. Half way for the first tank and then it goes up and down like a yoyo for the 2nd tank. Seperate gauges and a manual swich would be nice.
Cheers, Leon There's no such thing as a wrong turn... it's just the scenic route!
