Well today I heard my first F1 car in the flesh.
WA's Barbagalo raceway's AAC Festival of speed.

No real races over the day but lots of sprints, demo's etc.
Bikes, cars, old and new. a truck, offroad racers, supermotards, quads, stunt plane, and the icing was Mark Webber in his Red Bull F1 car doing a few flying laps.

Awesome.
Anyway.

Yeah they scream pretty hard go to the GP in Melb the cars are loud but when the F18's do the city fly over they make the F1's sound like Electric golf carts
