  • Sign in difficulties

Is it just me or are others seeing the same.

When I went to sign on this arvo, the sign-on page had the message that I had apparently exceeded my sign-on attempts (even thought it was the first time I tried), and then forced me to enter my details including a code which was impossible to read. After about 12 attempts, the code finally become legible and I managed to get in.

Gees - I hope I don't have to go through this every time I want to sign in now.

Is this something new? What's going on? Never had this difficulty before... and it's an absolute PITA!!!

    Re: Sign in difficulties

No problem here, signed on at least three or four times today without issue.

Odd. Unless someone tried to sign on as you..
3 tries and your locked out.
The code has been tightened up due to the number of spammer registrations.

We have had a number of failed attempts at ppl attempting to log on as admins or mods, IP addresses have been logged as such and we keep an eye on it now..

        Re: Sign in difficulties

I copped this problem a couple of weeks ago. I figured that some unregistered guest was trying their luck to log on and guess the password while using my username.
I have not had any problems since.
I also found the "special" code the be almost illegible.

        Cheers

I've done the colourblind eye-test plenty of times - but this takes the cake. Talk about difficult!

Yeah, I also had the problem yesterday, but once I went through the extra sign in procedure it was all good again

We are getting about 100+ spammer rego's a day, BUt thats due to a hack on the captcha code.. I will null it out a bit.

                Re: Sign in difficulties

Messed up my login once or twice in the last week... but nothing to get me locked out...

Also had the odd occasion where I'd log in and then not be able to open anything, login in again and same again... Same issue as ##########, seemed to solve it by checking the login automatically (which i don't like to do at work), so seems to be more an IE issue than server on that one...

                  Re: Sign in difficulties

I haven't had any problems like NT described, although occasionally i get booted and have to log in again. Often this happens when following a link in a thread?

What i do have a real problem with; that i don't understand is, if i have just logged on through my browser and the URL is http://www.pradopoint.com/ i have no problems accessing the active topics. However if i navigate back to the board index using the links and have the URL index.php as often as not i can't access the active topics :? even though they are in effect the same page. Rather than using the board index link i have got really good at highlighting and deleting everything in the URL after the .com/ and hitting enter.

I can live with it, i just don't understand it.

EDIT: that second URL doesn't come out right when i submit :? it looks right now but is not coming up correct after submitting. anyway follow the link to the board index and that is shat it should say. another thing i don't understand bloody computers

                  Cheers Andrew

                    Re: Sign in difficulties

Going through the pp.com is okay but I am having issues logging in through tapatalk on the iphone.

I haven't been able to log in through tapatalk for the last couple of days. I enter my password (which used to automatically connect) and it tells me that I have 'either entered an invalid password or the administrator has restriced access via tapatalk'.

Tapatalk for 'myswag' works as it always has.

                      Re: Sign in difficulties

No probs here, but mine's set to be signed in all the time.

One thing I am getting (sorry if this is hijacking) is a lag of approx 20 seconds between hitting the 'submit' post button and it actually responding
