    Details:
    My wife and I intend to leave Newcastle 25/5/12 to drive to Cairns, spens a couple of days resting before taking a trip via Trinity Bay Cargo ship, intend to spend 3-4 weeks in the Cape York area fishing and sight seeing.

    We are inviting anyone who would like to join us for the trip.

    im only new on this website but just joined so i could reply to this post, im leaving canberra on the 31/05/2012 to head to the cape, it is our honeymoon but we have at this stage 6 other cars coming with us, people ranging from 28-40 years old and with kids too. 2 camper trailers and the rest are roof top tents. vehicles will be 3-4 100 series landcruisers, defender, 75 series landcruiser, and 2x hilux's. happy to discuss travel plans if you are looking for a fun family orientated trip.... all vehicles are modified and will ruff it with the best comp trucks.

        We are heading that way as well. Up the middle to Darwin, Coburg, across the gulf and up the Cape. Thinking around the last week in june early July.

          Our plans have now changed, we will be going in 2013 as my wife is starting a new job next year and will be in training during June/July. Another year to get more mods and accessories.

              I'll be departing Brisbane to head up at the start of September 2012 for approx 4 weeks. 3 to 4 cars in total.
              2005 120 series V6 Grande, 2 inch susp lift (King/EFS combo), 32 inch MT’s, Safari Snorkel, rear diff lock, breathers, Light Force spotlights, UHF, dual batteries.

                  We are heading up there from Newcastle on the 16th June for 4, possibly 5 weeks. At this stage we have 6 vehicles going.

                    June 16 appears to be a very popular date. We will be heading up the same time. Keep a lookout for a pajero, an amarok, a triton and a Grand Vitara.

                      the pajero will be easy to spot....it will be the one coming back on the back of a tow truck....just joking
                      and the Triton will be the one abandoned beside the road on the way up.....just joking again

                              We've revised our trip from September to the last 3 weeks of August instead due to one of our party not being able to take holidays from September onwards.
