I had the dented door from Harvey and this incident had no affiliation with the pradopoint forum or it's members. Just a big group of us out exploring and rather than turn back or find another route, we gave it a go, and it went wrong! The dent is being pulled tomorrow by Mr Ding for $150.
There is plenty of fun to be had without damage, but the nature of the sport does lend itself to a underbody ding or too if you make a mistake! We had a stock 120 running grandcraps with us on our trip and it went fine!
It may be reassuring to know that I am attending this trip specifically as and attendee and have no involvement in the planning or locations. All I know is to be at Macca's at 8.30am...Last edited by Darren253*; 05-07-2011, 05:14 PM.2010 Prado 150 GXL TD - Previously Darren253

Hi Chester.
follows was the original plan.. As that stands, that is quite a tame trip, from memory you would have done part of this already, the crossing is the one we did just before hitting high gear and going to the pub for lunch. I think we didnt go through as it was a bit crowded.

The plan will be to Meet at McDonald's Mandurah at 8.30 am.Once all the numbers arrive we will head on thru WhiteHills to the beach, out at Preston, bitumen to Harvey, Harvey - Quindanning road to water crossing.
Most tracks I have seen are possible with standard tyres and no lift if you don't mind a bit of scrapping underneath in some points. Please correct me if i'm wrong those of you who know there way around here better. UHF radio is a must and some extra ones may be available to borrow for the day throughout the group normally.
I would recommend some basic recovery gear,Good quality Snatch Strap and bridal ,Compressor to inflate your tires,Tire gauge .I will need to rely on our southern track master to guide us through the Harvey to Quindanning road areas as I'm not to familiar with the southern tracks.
Please remember for those who haven't been out with us before.
We are not a club and just a group of like minded people who are interested in using our 4wds for exploring without damaging them. There is no pressure to do any thing you don't feel comfortable with.If you get stuck we will take photos. We all have to be patient in a large group.

a beach trip then out to Harvey, then quindanning is quite a trek. especialy for Northerners wishing to return north with any daylight still visable.
Maybe beach, Harvey, go the first bit of Staples line, but pull out before the big hill????? My guess is that the first part of that track would be time consuming enough with over 10 vehicles. if the main hill was put in play it could turn into a weekender,,
It has a tendency to cause rifts in time and space with an immeasurable amount of time taken to traverse an easily measured distance.. lol
Just an option.
I'm just keen to get out.. and as its my backyard travel is not an issue for me.
Jeff.
PS.. and if anyone has the 4WD Action mag with the GTG in it,, can you bring it along for me to look at??? pleeeeease .. :-)Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

well I guess there will be enough falling off my car when the hose comes out,, the front lawn would be a mountain if every one did it..Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

Golly,
We had nine cars last week and several of those were only using 0.5w cheapies and they worked a treat! I can't see that one being a problem at all, unless you're planning on getting really lost!2010 Prado 150 GXL TD - Previously Darren253
