heres a few pics from this years tele track . feel free to add some if youv'e got em . i did the bottom half south to north then the top half north -south a couple of days later .the start . more of the start . palm creek entrance ,great start bent sidesteps plus other bits pretty easy really .exit of palm creek looking back , guy in the nissan going the other way just stopped and pulled out his winch at the bottom ,didn't even try , pussy nissan drivers .

don't know what the hell the name of the first creek was . second one is the dulhunty river along with the third shot i don't think im taking either of those exits .fourth is the entrance to bertie creek . fifth is just plain bertie ck

no.1 bertie creek again ,about 4ft from my mirror is a hole in the rock river bed that you could loose a land cruiser in up to the roof ,i stopped in this creek and washed some of the dust off the car. no.2 the sign says it all . no.3 again the sign says it all . no.4 is the gunshot exit or what is left of it that you see roothy blow a cv in his big green crapheap on the dvd ,there's not much of it left , nah not goin down that one . no.5 is the entry/exit next to it , nope don't think so .

no.1 i could probably take one of those if i want to set off the airbags or end up on the roof . no.2 . the only option . no. 3 gunshot spares or the moument to stupidity . no.4 can't remember the name of this one but plenty of traffic . no.5 is the jardine river campsite at the northern most end of the tele track . i did the northern end from north to south a couple of days later and this is the first shot .

no.1 the jardine river campsite . no.2 the dreaded nolans brook ,going in . no.3 HOLY CRAP going down and failing to proceed ,gods of horsepower don't fail me now . no.4 right foot mashed to the firewall , comin up , were livin , JUST . no.5 some of the aftermath . i can hear the water in the doors ,the dash is lit up like a christmas tree with every system warning there is . the brakes are screeching , fan belt and pulleys are protesting and theres water on the floor . ooooops .

no.1 aah the carpet needed a wash anyway . no. 2. now renamed nolans swamp . allthough the dash was lit up at no time did any system fail on the car . so for the next 3-4 hrs my feet got slow roasted by the heater . no. 3 is apparently called the lagoon ,i got to share a walk in it with a snake ,i didn't go close enough to identify it in case i looked like high ground . there were some very deep holes in this one so not wishing to further stress the car i took the kitty cat option and had to winch out over a small bank to the left . where the pic is taken from , there is a 2ft drop into 6-8 inch deep mud , i know what mud does and im in serious vehicle preservation mode by now . no.4 its all good fun and the only time i had to winch out . no.5 . the log bridge

don't know the names of most of these crossings as by this time i was pretty over river crossings and the light was fading .i needed to get to somewhere to eat , drink and unload the car and servey the results . by the time i got to the end of the northern section and reached the main rd ,i had just enough time to pump up the tires before the light went out completely . then another 120 ks to bramwell station at 60 kph , arrived just b4 9pm . time to change my undies .

We camped past the southern-most crossing of the northern section - at Edith Falls. Very nice large campground.
The Telegraph track is worth taking your time on. It's not like it's easy to get to!

Nice report Kav. Sorry you got swamped in the Ford and Nolans. We did it as well and made it through with out a problem accept for a small bit of carpet near where the diff locker pipes go into the car under the passenger seat. I forgot to pug up the holes with silicon. Ill post all of my photos as soon as I can. I am still in Cairns having a relax before heading home to Melbourne on Tuesday morning.

I drove up the South bank of Palm Creek last year in the Prado, no problems.

No worries Kav ill do it as soon as I can. The only major problem I had is poping out the CV joint in the diff because I was using my front locker too much. It was a bit of a worry when we got to the jardine and I could smell the oil pouring out of the spline and thought I had done some serious damage. Luckily my brother a 4x4 mechanic told me to take the weight of the wheel and pop the spline back in and fill the diff with oil again and all fixed. When I get home ill change the cerclip in the diff to hopefully stop it happening again.
