    I've also been told the track is extremely busy on long weekends. October would be particularly bad given everyone wants to get away then. This, combined with the distance to get there, may mean MLC and I look for something closer. Maybe Murray Sunset NP or something similar.

      No worries- it could be a little tedious when busy, but it is really nice still.

      Plan for a nice mid-week May trip next year- its what I am thinking!
      Manual GXL150 D4D, Silver,Toyota tow bar, Cooper STs, ARB deluxe winch bar, safari snorkel, ultra quattro 2200 HID, BlackWidow Travelmate drawers, Rhino sportz racks, GME 3540, piranha fridge slide, front recovery points, RedArc Smart Start dual battery system.

        Great write up, and has me itching tp pack my bags and do the loop. If only Dr Z and MLC would come to the party, and think about the appropriate time to traverse such a fantastic trip.

        Perhaps there is another PP who may wish to tag along

          sapradogxl i'll go with you tomorrow, had a great trip with the boys on the border track, but MLC say's you have to stop for fuel every 200km's is that true?

                  With all this banter, I may just have to team up with a Pajero(dirty word).....

                  Not yet have I had an issue with fuel.... Robe... not one petrol car had an issue with fuel.... I do recall a few diesel issues.

                  If you guys are worried about so much about me running out of feul, maybe you need to man up and accept the challenge. I know I will be fuel and red wine sufficient
