Nice! You'll certainly notice a difference in the rough stuff.

What a great turn out and a great day. We even had a 4" lifted Patrol to provide the entertainment. The weather was looking a bit sh** to begin with but fined up as soon as I had driven the lower section of Mt Walker (that's right glen_ep ).

Glenn and Mark had so thoughtfully each brought a cake, so after we had feasted under Jason's awning, Glenn and Jeff lead all of us to Mt Walker, where to aforementioned Patrol put on a fantastic display, bashing his front diff repeatedly on the rocks on the lower section of Mt Walker. I manged to skip some of the diff breaker rocks (which the Patrol gave up trying to climb) and got stuck on one of the last shale rock faces. I could have kept going hammer and tongs at the risk of having an undrivable vehicle at the end. So I was faced with the decision to either winch myself or got a free tow from the Patrol parked about 10 meters in front of me.

After being dragged slowly up the last rock step, we all stopped for lunch at the half way point of Mt Walker. I was first for the upper section and manged to get stuck again but without a Patrol in front of me. So the boys helped me setup the winch and I was up and over the rock step with too much damage to the Prado (oh glen_ep, do you still want your side steps?)

The Patrol had no issues getting up the final section of walker. The 4" springs allowing it to bounce its way up the rock steps. Steven then had a go at the upper section and the 150's traction control (and good driving) made short work of it.

As a teaser, here is a shot of the 3 vehicles that made it to the top of Mt Walker.

      More pics to come.
Thanks to all who came along today.

I'm in the middle of the multistage process of rendering, splicing, re-rendering, trashing and starting again on the videos I've got.

          Soon.

Yes it was a great day, luckily the rain eased off & we had good weather for most of the day.

Plenty of action at Mt Walker both lower & upper sections!! Lots of pics of videos to come
            Cheers,
            Glenn

Yes, Glen he dared and the only thing I saw him smoke was his tires. A very impressive effort by the birthday boy.

Again, thanks all for a fantastic day and it was a pleasure to meet you all, hope to see you all on another outing.

                    Thanks Dave
