The chicken track in the lower sections looks easy Although that second set of rocks looks a little worse than I remember.

Did the Patrol take the chicken track or the big rock steps?

There was only 1 rock step that Nick gave up trying to climb after hitting the front diff on it repeatedly. He reversed back and jumped across to the chicken trail. My only hope of going from the very bottom of Walker, i.e. without the chicken trail would have been to use the winch for the whole of the first section of rock steps. I'm not sure that the $400 winch would really take that kind of punishment.

Thanks Kav. The turnout was fantastic. Yes I've improved the clearance of glen_ep's side steps especially the passenger side. BTW glen, you're more than welcome to my original straight side steps if you like!

                              • Thanks Declan for organising the day, it was good to go to an area we hadn't explored before, meet some nice people and do some moderate 4wding which didn't break anything!

Hope you had a great 21st!
                                Cheers, Brad
