Mate the run up the beach is a nice easy run the only problem i can see you having is there will be hundreds of other people doing the same thing i refuse to go up there that time of year it is way to busy for me. If you dont have a choice then just try and relax the entry and exit will be well and truly churned up and people bogged everywhere but just let the tyres down and go for it make sure you have a set of maxtraxs handy just in case. The barge across is about $6 one way from memory if you wanted to do the freshwater track across to rainbow beach its a nice drive through the rainforest but keep in mind there will be a lot of people there.

As Craig said it'll be busy all right, you can do a round trip back through Freshwater and down the Cooloola Way if you like it would take most of the day though.

See ya on the tracks, Richo.

        Goodwin,
How did you find Teewah Beach over christmas?
We are looking at doing it tomorrow. Tides seems OK then and kids are itching to go.
I am taking the maxtrax and letting the tyres down to around 20ish psi. So hope all should be good.
How churned up were the entry / exits?
What was you technique? - high range keeping the momentum up or low range and just taking it slow through the soft stuff.
        cheers

We were up there on the 27th. Beach is wide and flat after all the storms and entry and exits are a flat run out ono the beach...there was a Wrx on the beach that day.

If you have the dirty weekends book there is an easy forest run from Yandina to Point Glorious coming out at Mapelton.

As JoshF said the beach is so easy to drive at the moment. I came back down Double Island on the 31st December on my way home from Fraser. The beach is firm and wide plenty of beach to drive on at low tide. The entry and exit points are even easy just idle up in 4WD High Range. Remember to watch your speed the police are out patrolling over the holiday season.

Crazy, and I thought the lowered civic with aero kit I saw on Mother mountain near Gympie a few years back was stupid
