Now this tracks starts off with about 10 minutes of soft roading, then it suddenly drops off to the left in a big way.

There are several options to take, I took one with a few steps:

Now this might look like I took a nose dive and tickled the front bar, but I'm actually testing my wheel-to-flare clearance under maximum compression. *cough*

Ben took the hard line with the biggest stop. Yes, it did tickle:

Declan and Piet/Renee found a neat way between the larger rocks:

      Same line, different angle:

This was our first decent rock step, going uphill. I was too excited to wait for cameras...

        Ben showing off his articulation:

Looks like the Boomslang team were excited too!

Declan crawled up with his recently acquired MTZ's.

Here's Ben taking on a big down hill step.

Renee and Declan tacking the chicken track:

Again, no photos of me... so let's just assume I took the hard line :-p

Here's where it really started getting interesting. There were three way to tackle the bottom, but only one good option up top. I started with the big step, no problems at all, just crawling:

            Then the double step ups:

Renee had some troubles taking the first big step. She managed to get the front up, mostly...

We decided to try an easier spot:

But it did tickle a little:

Moving on, here's a short step up. I was first over without a problem.

                      Ben took the harder line:

Renee taking the same line as I did:

                        Declan taking the same line:

For some reason his tyres gave up and made a cloud of smoke instead:

Next batch of photos will be a while
