  • Vic High Country - Day Trips from Mansfield New Years Weekend

    All,

Taking the family for a tour around Vic this Jan, down from Queensland, and have a few days booked (1-3rd) in at Mansfield with the hope of doing a few day trips out to look at the high country. Unfortunately with the van at Mansfield we can't do o'nighters.

Have read the Vic reports and I think i'm looking forward to these few days more than the rest of the trip.

Looking at doing the mt stirling, craigs hut loop, any better suggestions?

Rig has 2" + BFG's + snorkel etc. Looking for a bit of fun and the views to match.

All suggestions are welcomed, I'll honk if i see another Prado out and about.

    Mick.

Drop into the information centre. They have 4wd maps of the area and give good advice

View from the top of Stirling is well worth the trip up. Visiting Sheepyard flat and then the Bluff are other options. Been many years since I was up there.
