Was a great run through, everyone had a crack at some really tough lines and made it through, right up until the bang, unfortunately a simple bad bounce on a very tractable rock was too much for the rear UNI on PAA-TROL, really was just sheer bad luck but none the less we got back out with only the front diff, and three separate snatches at a few of the return woohoo points. All in all a really great day, all the trucks went well, Dec's prado proudly and steadfastly lead the way and did it convincingly. Even had a crack at a couple of Nick lines and made most of them without fuss. All in all a very exciting day. Unfortunately just too much for spook so I rode Navi for the day and had a ball.cheers Shea79.

LOL so true Declan. Yeah it was one of those how on earth moments. It was also the second biggest truck out with us so just goes to show bad luck can jump out from behind any rock at any time, knock you to the ground and kick you in the UNI joint LOL, just gotta pick yourself up dust yourself off and learn from the experience.Originally posted by williade View PostIndeed. careful Glen, never say never, I have seen trucks go POP, far more prepped for hard core wheeling than any that went today, one unlucky woops and they go home on tilt trays after being dragged out. Good pics Declan, easing the pain of not going along.... or making it worse, I'm not quite sure. Looks like I missed out on a good day, wasn't too hot either.
Bet you want to get to the end even more now Declan after going twice and lucking out both times!
Did you go up the next section with multiple lines after were we turned around last time or just go have a look?

I went with the intention of looking, but I had to have a go when I saw it. For the bottom half I went with one of the lines to the right and the upper section I went for the left hand side. It was at a a hair raising angle at one point in the upper section and I was concerned the locked rear was going to start spinning, but I let tyre pressures down low enough that it gripped okay.Originally posted by Sako85 View PostDid you go up the next section with multiple lines after were we turned around last time or just go have a look?

I think we took the RH line on the upper section. From the bottom we started on the right, sort of went diagonally left, then hard right across the hill, hard left and up those steps with a tree on the left. The tree the 80 series bent his LHF guard and door on.
Next time you will have to try the center line on the hill where your group and where we turned around. I tried it when I went two weeks ago and didn't make it but I think we all would with some rocks thrown in.
