mmmmmmmm I love that south basalt knob track That looks like the rocky section where there's a hard right, and it's the last of the steep grades.

Looks like a ripper weekend? Would have been a different story if you were driving Blue Rag today!

Weather turned bad here in jindabyne yesterday, we had 2 cm snow in town, more out of town. Sounds like you got home at the right time.
                      Cheers

Hi, heading up to Talbotville campground next weekend for a 5 day trip. Did you stay at the Talbotville campground?
The Sth Basalt track, is that just nth of the campground? Any other good tracks that we 'must-do' ?
                        Cheers

yes Darren stayed at talbotville . Sth basalt track is the one you talking about there is a sign you will love that . Do the whole crooked river up bull town spur. I even drove in before dargo on the crooked river to get to talbotville with the camper that was ok .
We done billy goat and blue rag, collingwood spur you will enjoy all them .

G'day Darren, SUV's and probably 2wd can access Talbotville so given the choice, around Wonnangatta Station is more secluded. From Talbotville try the Crooked River Trk for plenty of water crossing thru to and up Bulltown Spur Trk. Around Wonnangatta there's Billy Goat Bluff and heading up the Herne Spur Trk for some excitement.
