Fraser island: Six Vehicles all up, two Prado's, one Vitara, one Patrol, one Navara, one 100 series Cruiser.
The Patrol left the previous day and the Navara and the Cruiser arrived the following day, so a not too early start on the sunday morning saw the two Prado's and the Vitara head for inskip point about 9am as high tide was at 11am. After fueling up and having lunch at rainbow we headed for the barge, the sand was the softest i have ever seen it and with in 10 metres on to the beach we had the Vitara bogged.

We couldn't even push it out after some digging with the shovel.

Then we went for the the snatch strap but i was two close and in the soft sand. Then we had the the prado half bogged.
Backed out the prado and then we had to join two straps to get the vitara out. I should have not been lazy and done this in the first place.

Finally on the barge and on our way to Fraser.

Day two we took a nice easy run through the forest to lake Mackenzie.

The lake is just beautiful and the swimming is fantastic.

A couple of shot's along the beach on the way back to the resort.
Day Three we decided to head to the very top of the island( a 3-4 hour run at high tide), we took both Prado's, the Navara and the Cruiser. High tide was at 1.30pm so it was going to be a long day dodging the tide.

A quick stop at the Maheno on the way up but not for long as the tide times were agaianst us.
After spending a hour at south Nagala rocks extracting the Navara we finally made it to the top about 12pm.

We set up camp and waited for the tide to turn for the run home and had a fish with all of the pro's, plenty of Taylor been caught that day.
The run home was in the soft sand and we had to drive over the rocks at North Nagala.

The two Prado's negoiating the rocks with ease.
We arrive back at the Champayne Pools and as timing would have it we happen to run into "BA77HY" from the forum up their on holidays, he spotted the sticker and came over for a chat, Good to meet up with a fellow pradopointer.
Day Four, we headed to Eli Creek for the day. to have a quite family day with the kids after the 9 hour run the previous day.

That is my best profile with the little princess.
When ever we are at Eli creek we always have to do a under body wash. Today it was lucky to be a foot deep, yesterday it was about two feet deep when we were coming home from the Top.

It was our last full day on the island so we got a few shots and headed home.

The afternoon Beach.

A very friendly Local, we thought he was going to jump in the car he was that Friendly.

The 694's make their mark.

The coloured sands constantly change along the eastern beach.
That was a few shots from our little four day trip, the beauty of fraser is that every time you go their it is never the same as the last time.
If you haven't been to fraser you just haven't really experienced sand driving at it's most spectacular.
