Stewy. I've got you down as a maybe as I do understand that you may still be in the doghouse after last weeks misbehavior at the 4x4 show. Shame on you for purchasing more mods (at least you didn't come home and say "I bought a jeep")

Yup 2nd week in a row. Just couldn't resist the invite to witness the deflowering of Matts nice shiny 150 as we joined the Tripod Gully club! )

Craig a suggestion if you get more than 5 or 6 cars you may want to do two groups as too many slows the whole deal down.

        Have a great day, Richo.

Fully deflowered and showing off plenty of flex:

I especially like the "tucked in" look.

Upper Ormeau is a fun day out and sooo close too

Thanks Richo, this is in the back of my mind. We're potentially at 9 cars now. As you have suggested, it may be the case of staggering the start times. Perhaps Fozzy or someone who has done this trip could lead one group and I'll take another? Alternatively 1 group starts at the other end of the track (Upper Ormeau Rd entrance) and we meet up at the lookout and then head in our appropriate directions after?

Folks I'm open to suggestions. If everyone is happy to stagger the trip I'm fine. If anyone has commitments in the afternoon that we need to be aware of please advise. Otherwise with the numbers we have, the trip will take longer as Richo has mentioned above.

Our main aim is to have an enjoyable trip without the worry of whether or not we're going to get away in time to pick up Aunt Betty at the nursing home (you know what I mean).

LOL craig no nursing home commitments here (yet anyway) we're good for a whole day trip. Would rather stagger it from our point of view as we don't know the area and don't really want to get lost. But as you said, open to suggestions from people who do this more often and have more experience

It's been over 12 months since I've been out there, I'm definatley in. If u need a tour guide to the hard stuff I'm your man....been out there 20+ times and know all tracks, some have been blocked by huge boulders and many over grown so we will have sus that out on the day.

Just as a warning to all, Ormeau is private property and police have been out there fining people for trespassing in the past. I beleive at one point there was security at the water tower as well. But having said that it was a over a year ago now when they did their big clamp down on the place, Ormeau has been going through this cycle for over 10yrs (police shut it down, we open it back up lol).

btw tracks are rated easy to extreme.... Just YouTube Ormeau tower of terror, misubishi hill, tea cup etc and u will get an idea of whatsv really out there... Also heaps of gully and river runs for those that are game

See u there!!!! Bring your winches and scratchex

                          Double_d,

Speaking for myself, I'll only be treading the easy-moderate stuff! Always impressed with how far people can go (and your Prado looks like an absolute go anywhere beast!) but need a fair bit more experience before I attempt some of that stuff on U-Tube.

                          Cheers,

                          Dave

                            Hi Craig,

Firstly, put me down as a definite.

If you decide to split the groups up, may I suggest we meet up at Fredrick Johnson park after completing the track. That will provide a nice spot for trading stories over a few drinks and having a barbie.

For those who have not done this track before, here is the Upper Ormeau track log. This track log dates back to 2009, but it is similar to what we can do on this weekend.

The park I suggest we meet up at after completing the track is Fredrick Johnson Park. It has a small undercover area and ample space for kids to kick a ball, etc. I think there is also a small stream that runs beside it.

                            Thoughts?

                            LFaR.
PS: It's absolutely bucketing down with rain here on the Goldy at the moment. Promising signs for Upper Ormeau .

So should I put the muddies on or leave the duellers in place? Decisions decisions. I'm in two minds only because the STT's are now diabolical on the road in the wet!

                              Cheers,

Please put me down on the easy-moderate list as well.

                                See you all Sunday.
