Last night and todays rain may loosen things up a little

Presently bucketing in the hills. Just been told that about a bunch of trail riders who went up to Kinglake and gave up after 30min as it was too slippery last weekend.
The track notes do advise it is better avoiding the area in the wet.
This will pretty well rule out the Xtrail as it only has road tryes.

See the forcast is for more rain today and tomorrow what do you think blkd4d and any others who know the Kinglake area?

Chris if ya mate only has road tyres he would be defently out . I can't remember what you have but I guess we can wait and see what happens tonight and tommorow . One of the trips pp done up to warburton was good because it was muddy and if you looked at the trip report from wombat bit wet that day .

This bog hole on Gutter Creek Track nearly brought me unstuck!

Daughters birthday on 5th and possible sleep over.
