  • WA - Southern Sojourn

A small gathering - with a bit of a beach run, a picnic lunch and a little play in some mud - gathered momentum and became a Prado Pilgrimage to Perth's southern foothills.

14 vehicles met at Maccas in Mandurah (a Smurf, a Cruiser and 12 Prados) and headed south to the beach.

    It's a Prado Conga line

Jeff caught up with us at lunch ... making a total of 15 vehicles. A baker's dozen of Prados. Twelve 120's and a lone 95 series.

Finally - some mud to play in

Wengnuts should recognise this one ... it's still got the Queensland plates on. Maybe it's in the car's genes ... 'cause we couldn't keep Mark out of the mud

    Cheers

Nice pics and a good turn out. Interesting to see the different makes of tyres used. The beach looked fairly firm or was it just the prados making it look easy.
Pitty the weather wasnt a bit nicer for you`s but it looked a bit bit better when you got into the hills.

Here's our photos. Can we just say THANKS to everyone, especially Chippy and Justo for organising the day. You all are the best bunch of people to go out bush with. All the kids got on well, all had a good laugh, nothing got broken, and best of all we met a great bunch of people we would gladly go out with again!

Great pics Matt. A real credit to Timtam who spent the day getting covered in mud by every yahoo amongst us ... and never shied away from a piccie opportunity.

Just one small question ... and I reckon Jay's asking the same question ... In the following pics Jay is giving the little guy a push on the swing ... but in the third pic .....

"Where did the kid go ????

Thanks to all for coming along and making it a real fun day.

                    wa-southern sojourn

Well, finally signed up & just a quick thanks to all involed for a good day out.It was good to put some faces to names & also meet some new people.Looks like you continued to have some fun(we left about 4.30 as anett had to work)& was curious how you all went with the tree across the track because the detour was alittle tight.( Tried to call & let you all know but I think you where all enjoying the rock swing.)From chippys& matts photo's looks like the small tree on the right disappeared, was this deliberate or did someone end up with a souvenier for the day? Thanks again & if anyone needs back up for a day ,please let me know,as i'm keen to explore & see what the prado can do :P :P

It was great to meet you Sharky and Annette and it certainly was a fun day.

The little tree came to grief as the track around the fallen tree got a bit more use and one vehicle did slide down the slope .. no damage to the vehicle but the tree was a little second hand.

Have no doubt ... there will be more trips.

                      Cheers

What a great bunch of people to get involved with for a trip out to play in the mud.

Thanks Chippy and all the people that organised the event I look forward to future trips hopefully with my wife and son Elan in tow.
