  • SEQ (Now Trip Report)... 2nd Dec 07 D'Aguilar Range

Hi guys... time for an SEQ day trip. Can't let the WA folk have all the fun
I was thinking something more of a family day out... 4wding, BBQ, meet some of you fine folk

The book describes the tour as 'easy to difficult' depending on weather. I have been up there once before and every challenging track had a chicken run around it (I used a few of those  )
Depending on how the day flows I was thinking of lunch/bbq possibly at the Gantry Day Use Area.

    Date - 02 Dec 07

Location - D'Aguilar Range Tour (Dirty Weekends Book 4th Edition)
meet by the Bakery, Dayboro (williams st)

    UHF - 15

    Time - 8:30am
should finish in the arvo at Woodford and some are planning on leaving around mid day... most likely from the Gantry day use area

    Attendees - (all welcome)

    Snaga (90) (confirmed)
    Hutch (120) (confirmed)
    esie + jeff (confirmed)
    UberSarge (120) (confirmed)
    spender again + son (confirmed)
    masso (120) (confirmed)
    masso's X-trail buddy (confirmed)
    masso's F-100 buddy (confirmed)
    McBain (120) (confirmed)
    Shawsie (90) (possible... exploreOz)

    Waiting on confirmation...

    UberSarge's Mate (pootrol)
    ChrisCrowie (90) ?
    Cheers, Leon

Here's a quick clip of a mate of mine on one of the in-land tracks... I was winched up (no time for track building or letting more air out... and Craig wanted to use his winch  ) as I kept getting hung up on a diagonal tree root about 2 3rds the way up ops: Hopefully with the lift and better tyres I'll have better luck next time

          SEQ Trip

I would love to make the trip but I have a family function on that weekend. I wouldn't be too popular if I didn't show up. If things change I will come if still able. KMK

We were told by the park owner that 17-18 is the busier week as it's the start of school holiday. Apparently there were no other bookings for the 24-25 weekend. I want to test out my new suspension setup on my pootrol. It's got 4 inch lift with superior super flex radius arm. Superior claimed it gives 260mm of front end down travel.

I'll see how things are time wise and will try to make that one as well.
