  • SEQ - Anyone know what roads are open at Mount Mee?

    Hi,
Does anyone have a contact number to speak to someone about what roads are open at Mt Mee. I went to the DERM web site and it indicated some are close due to the rain on the alert panel ie lower east side. But I would like to talk to a nice ranger who is up there. IE Abreak , Western enscarpment etc
    Cheers
    Robert

I was there on Saturday the 14th, the Western Escarpment Drive, all the tracks south of the Gantry and some of the tracks north of the Gantry are all locked off. We did find some shorter tracks north of the Gantry open for some fun. Sunday we went from Woodford up Stoney Ck Rd onto Branch Ck Rd and then back via Bellthorpe Rd this was a nice drive with plenty of mud and rocks, I'll put up a post later. This would be an alternative for a day trip as the start point is just west of Woodford and you could even come back through Glasshouse Mtns if you wanted.

See ya on the tracks, Richo.

      Robert,

I was up there couple of months ago and all was open http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...ighlight=hazza. Before I went up I called the following number 07 3289 2644 and two rangers called me back (took a few days). Ask for Matt Wiseman or Will Brook. Both very helpful and know the area well.

        Thanks Richo,
Looks like GlassHouse is the go while Mt Mee is all closed off. I was looking at the track I sent through to you. Might be a bit muddy now though!
        Cheers

          Thanks Hazza,
Perfect, that's the number I was after. I will give them a call this week.
