Count me in as well. I haven't been out and about for a while, so I'll be little rusted.

Did we make our objective? Unfortunately not but we had fun in trying.

The day started off well, we all made it to the meeting point and left to head in to the Watagans. I decided to take the easy 2wd drive Watagan forest drive to get us to our goal of Mt Warrawalong only to be beaten by the bureaucrats who installed “Road Closed” signs at the beginning of the road, bugar 1. So as all good 4wders do, we took the first available track and had a bit of fun before coming back to a tar road.

Decided to follow the GPS and Topo maps and it seemed like a good idea that would hopefully get us in a different way, this time a locked gate, bugar 2.
Pump the tyres back up and back on the tar to try Lemon Tree rd. Lemon Tree was open and we had some fun with a few small puddles and then we came to huge boggy section well over 200m long. We walked it, slipped, discussed it, measured the water depth, found a shovel, slipped, discussed some more, measured some more, slipped again and decided not to try and turned back, bugar 3. Hopefully the photos do it justice. We found a nice spot for lunch in the sun and enjoyed a nice Winters day in the bush.

Next attempt was via Prickly Ridge Rd and again “Road Closed”, bugar 4.
We then headed for Cut Rock Rd and finally got somewhere, not far but we got somewhere and had a little fun getting there. After a couple of side tracks we got to Muirs Lookout.

We then decided to head towards the Pines and towards the road home. We drove part of Green Break Rd, a nice downhill section. We decided to turn around and drive back up the hill for some fun to finish the day.
All up a good day, not what I had planned but a lot better than sitting at home. We got to see a few parts of the Watagans that we would not have and learned a few bits for our next trip Mt Warrawalong.
We also discussed the bog hole again at the end of the day and all agreed we had made the right decision. Could we have made it? Maybe, possibly, probably but due to the size of it, once you started you were on your own. If you got stuck half way through you would be at least 100m from the others and at least 100m from the end. Once you got through, what was further on?

Thanks to Max, Kav and Boomslang for the company. Next time we will get there.

I will add some videos tomorrow.

ID:	640518 hmmmmm looks enticing . the last two vehicles that went through here had been sculldragged through by winch for probably a hundred metres . you could tell by the diff and underbody trails in the mud that were three feet wide . decision made . retreat
only injuries were my car which ejected a rear mud spat at some point , oh well it was crushed anyway . and a very long large scrape on my rock sliders .
it was interesting to see what has been done to keep people off tracks ie. the knocking down of large trees . or the supposed fixing of a rd which previous to the repairs was in perfect working condition but is now a complete and utter F*#^up . the person or persons who attempted to fix a rd for no reason and made a complete disaster of it which in the future will do enormous damage to the track and surrounding area oughta have his nuts removed so he is deleted from the gene pool . these people give a whole new perspective to the term brain dead moron .
