This is at the top of the ridge, around to the left of photo it drops off and a steepish decent, which would be fun in the wet.
Here are some of the tracks up the top. Lots of exposed rocks around the place and tight turns. Craig your front mounted camera would be useful here. Out of shot there are a lot of really steep climbs that the comp trucks do.
You can have fires and there are plenty of pits around for lunch/camping .
In and around the park there is a lot of wildlife around including, kangaroos, Koloa’s etc
All in all, a fantastic day. Thanks to staff at scenic rim for giving us another great location to go.
A standard Prado would be fine for much of the park. Conversely there were some really challenging tracks we found ( I was as concentrating on driving these not photographing sorry) , with no buddy to snatch off, I was expecting to use the winch a bit, but in the end the MT’s, good lift, sliders and Locker overcame all. In the wet though it would be a different story….
We ran right to the end of the day exploring as many tracks as we could, then aired up (ran 25psi in the Micky Thomson’s for the day which was perfect) and headed for home. As we drove home and talked about the great day we had, conversation quickly drifted to planning our next trip…..
Cheers
