Desert to the Track 2013

Have been going like crazy trying to get everything ready ... was hoping to get away tomorrow to spend tuesday night in the flinders before landing in Leigh Creek on wed arvo - aint happening

Would you believe there isn't a single set of radiator hoses in all the adelaide toyota dealerships! I'll have to ring around all the parts places in the morning. Sprint didn't have any either.

Are these just for spares? If your desperate I have a set and should be catching up with the Melbourne guys tomorrow. Should be able to work something out.

Thank you very much for the offer AJ. They are for spares - I know of a set up in Mt Barker Toyota - so worst case scenario i can go for them (just a 3 hour round trip). But I'm holding out for there to be a set at repco / supacheap / type places - i only tried Toyota and Sprint today. Even my worst case isn't too bad so while i really appreciate the offer - hold onto yours - I'll get a set.

Devastated - I can't make it

Hi all
Very sorry to be typing this but I've had a few things going on in the background of my life that have triggered a review of my plans over the last 24 Hrs.

Unfortunately I have to be back in Adelaide way earlier, this coupled with a sudden reduction in my ability to cover the risk of the trip means I'll have to put it off till the next time. Which sucks considering how much work I've put into the car over the last few months in prep for this trip - oh well at least I've got it all done now

On the plus side - we'll head up to Rawnsley Park / Wilpena / Parachilna for 6-7 days and I'll now have my daughter in tow as well. So while it's disappointing to not be doing the Simpson I'll still be having a good week away and now I'll have both kids and not have the cost / risk / time of the desert portion. I even did my 2.5 Hr round trip to get those bloody radiator hoses...

I really hope you all have a great, safe trip.
