  • Midweek trip to Newnes

Mate and I did a quick day trip to Newnes yesterday. I have done a PP trip in to the forest once before and did the wombat holes the lost city and a few other spots. We didn't have a lot of time up our sleeves as we where working at the time but the boss couldn't see what we where up too.We went in at the ZigZag up past the wombat holes past the first camp ground and traveled about 20k's into the forest. The track in was dry and dusty and just had to watch a coulpe of narrow spots and a few low branches. The spot we turned around at was quite steep coming back out and I threw the lockers in just to make sure on the loose surface. Will probably wind up back there again next week some time.
Just a coulpe of shots of the tracks on the way in from, my phone

Oh! and here is a coulpe of shots of our rigs we took in

It was an interesting trip in and out as the loads also happened to be wide loads. As I said the last time I did these tracks it was in the Prado. I hope it doen't rain before we go back in next week as it will be a challenge getting up the hill from the unload site

Ayy? You have lockers in that thing??

A couple of those spots look familiar. You have me curious... what was the load for?

Haha, you had me thinking there for a second when I looked at the over bonnet shot Les, what's he driving, a work troopy or something, and I knew you didn't have a locker in the Prado.

Did you happen to see Matthew from Ample Outdoors, he does a lot of the electrical maintenace on these vent shafts out there?

I have used lockers in the trucks 1000 times more than in the Prado, dumping over stockpiles we sometimes flicked them 50 times a day to get of the stock pile, would be a bloody good day if I used them that many times in the Prado.
