We came around hook point 3hrs after low and had no trouble today but then we might have just been lucky.
That'll be right... I spent a week bouncing around, dragging the Prado's belly and giving the bash plates a workout and they grade the tracks on the Friday, the day I left...

Was up there in October and thinking about heading back for Easter....lucky I live fairly close so it's no biggie for me. The inland tracks were dreadful when I was there (but fun in parts).....always have the Maxtrax on hand, and always run lower pressures and NEVER been bogged there (unintentionally) once. I did bog myself one day to show off the Trax to another Fourby who said "must get a set of them one day are they any good".....I said you just watch this!!
150 Silver Diesel GXL Auto with ECB Bullbar, Toyota Factory towbar, Black Widow Drawer system with Fridge slide and cargo barrier, GME UHF 3340 Radio, Waeco 50 Litre Fridge, Rhino Racks and Rhino Basket, ARB Awning, IPF XS Spotties, ABR Sidewinder Dual Battery system,Airtec Snorkel, Bilstien Shockies, King Springs, Poly Airbags and BFG A/T''s. Now towing a semi offroad Lotus Freelander 18.6 Van, with all the bells and whistles.

                      Hey guys.

Fraser looks awsome!!! We are organising a trip down in July but we are wondering....

How is fraser for towing camper trailers on???

We just have the old 1KZte motor, so its not really a full on power house and the sand on Fraser looks like it can get very soft...

                      Thoughts please fellas???

Mate, you will be right, just drop all the tyres, if its manual run it in low, ready for the soft stuff when your inland.
Some sort of trax could be handy if you have to stop for traffic, and want to get going again.

I'm thinking of headin up again after Easter, in April. That was way too much cars at Eli.
                        I think 15th april onwards.......
Anyone else wanna go around then p.m me........?
I might post it, have to get the Tassie trip in feb done first.

Seeing it was over a month ago now that I got back from Fraser I thought I'd better post some pics. The trip was great as usual and I had an awesome time. Was probably the busiest I have ever seen it but usually go after new year not during. Absolutely love Fraser Island it really is an amazing place and I would encourage people to give it a visit if you can.

Great pics everyone. Fraser is on the to do list for me.
I've only had the 90 for a few months now and is my first fourby, so I wanted to get some experience under the belt before going there.
So far in the short time I've had the 90, I've been to Kinkuna, Teewah and recently Bribie Island. I think I'm getting the hang of things.

I'd be with a mate with a Hilux, but do you guys have any tips when on Fraser? We have some recovery gear and always adjust tyre pressures accordingly. I always do a pre trip service before trips too.
97' Prado Grande, 2 Inch Lift, EFS Suspension, TJM Winch Bar. BFGoodrich A/T KO 275/70/ R16, 20% Tint, Tigerz11 3/4 aluminum roof rack.

Mark the good thing about Fraser is that because it's so popular there's always going to be someone around to pull you out of trouble even when you're travelling on your own, So it's not a bad place to learn about sand IMO.

                                Cheers
