Going on a short trip this weekend to use as a practice run for our Cape trip next year. I have removed the single rear seat and have put a lifestyle rack fridge mount there for the engel. I am also thinking about removing the other rear seats to allow for extra storage, so I would be interested to hear how other PP's have used this space.

      cheers

Just another thought for you SOL, this works for us pretty well, different styles might be different results but as far as estimating touring distance goes, if we map out a route and get distances between all the towns we plan to visit, (trish does this on google mapsI think) and then add 20% for detours and wrong turns and driving around town and side excursions it gives us a good guide as to overall trip length, which allows us to determine if we are travelling too far on average for the trip before starting out.

        Cheers Andrew
