To give everyone an idea of what the trip will be like, here is a video of the Ample Outdoors crew on a day trip we did on the track in late 2007.

For our day trip on Sunday, we will be travelling in the reverse direction to the video.

The trip was fun.
We saw a few snatch straps and winch extension straps get used. PAL001 even broke out the winch controller at one stage...but I will leave it up to others to give a full trip report.

I took about an hour of video footage and only 2 photos, both of which were of the only casualty of the trip....Craigs sidestep.

Thanks to everyone who made it for the day - PAL001, Craig, BATriton (PPers) plus Lee, Phil & Chris.

We had three Prados, a new and an old Triton and a Hilux (soon to be replaced with a Prado!).

A great variety of tracks were encountered - steep, rutted and loose up and down hills, mud holes and some rocky country. Craig's side step was the only casualty - and the damage was minimised by some wheel packing and belaying.

I hope everyone enjoyed the trip, and I look forward to seeing some old and new faces on the next one!

Had a great day, it was the longest I have been in low range.
I learnt a fair bit about my Prado and what it can do.
Thank you to every body that help get me off that huge rock I got hung upon with only a slightly bent side step.
Looking forward for the next outing.
