Having been up there quite a few times, it's not the place you want to go to when it's wet.....
Some of the tracks are still closed from the 2010 floods.....
Pencil me in at this stage. I am very keen to try out my new 4x4 and see what it can do. Just checked the 4x4 camping show and its on from friday 15th to the 17th of March, so its on the weekend before.
Looking at all the Govt website for up in and around that area.... everything is currently closed.... not looking promising at this stage.....plus, forecast of more rain in the coming weeks
I'm very keen on tagging along for this if the weekend changes, I spoke to the ranger up there today and he reckons if it stops raining today and is dry for the rest of the month he'll barely have it open by the end of the month!
So keen to hear if we can reschedule...

The long range weather forcast issued from the state government as of a week ago is to expect wide range medium to heavy rain from late March and continuing throughout the month of April which will cause extensive flooding again in the south east. Weather to fine up during May. Then the rain returns in June.
As a substitute until the weather fines up you could always go to Glass House Mtns National Park for the day. Just throwing a suggestion out there for anyone itching to get their car out in the mean time to a place that is every man's 4wd dream.
I stuck my head down part of Branch Creek Rd today and things look good from my point of view. The track is damp, which means no dust and there's just enough moisture in parts to make you concentrate instead of pray so I reckon I'll give it a go on the 23rd.
There's no water over the first creek crossing after the day use area (some track building is necessary off the end but no biggie) but if no one has been up the road in a while I'd say lantana might be an issue, only one way to find out.
If anyone else is still keen to go, see you at the bakery!
Cool.... If the family comes... it will be the Prado, if it's just me, then I'll be in the Zook.... but I won't know for sure until middle of the week.....
We're camping at Neurum Creek on the Friday/Saturday night as well, it might only be Jeff attending the 4WD day, I think I'll sit this one out and just camp by the fire
