  • Going to have to thank Justin1979 for organizing the trip. Was fantastic to meet such top bunch of guys. Spewing we couldn't stay the night. Some noble efforts from Torrie72 for some of the climbs he tackled and conquered. Commiserations to ondaboat, valiant effort and so close, was lucky to walk away with only busted up tank guard. All and all was a very entertaining day. Can't wait for the next one. Thanks guys

    • A very good weekend. I was very slack and didn't take a single photo :-(

Good to meet a few new guys and good to catch up with some regulars again.

Ben in the 90 series with his 33's certainly made short work of most of the tough stuff, unfortunately others who tried to follow Weren't as successful not mentioning any names or pointing to anyone in particular Ondaboat

      Cheers Andrew

        • I agree, it was a very good weekend. A blend of old and new, some guts and glory and some wise decisions not too also.

There was nearly a catastrophic event today. Some pro comp Pootrol hooked his winch up to the front of my rig. Dam lucky for him he saw common sense and disconnected before I pulled his 37's off the escarpment and then burnt his plasma rope. As if I need assistance, I rescue AJ!!!!!!!

Was good of the two pro comp rigs to take us out too and be part of cutting some new tracks. Once in a life time opportunity and I'm sure we are all grateful.

Fancy that, your name was mentioned quite a bit on the week end, mostly in regards to that "Drive it like you stole it" Attitude!
Good to hear from you again.
Catch you at the next outing?

                  • Thanks to Justin for organising here too!

Photos to follow (nothing incriminating unfortunately) and no mention of the rock-wall 'souvenir'....

Perhaps I'll even post of shot of my aussie steak, god bless australian beef!
                    Cheers

A bunch of crap shots but here is one of Ben climbing the black rated section next to camp.
What a machine the 90 is and yes that is the angle of the climb!

                          • Yep that was a beauty of a steak Micheal - never cut one quite like that when I was a butcher!

Benji and I had a great time on the weekend. A big thanks to Justin for getting the ball rolling and to the Fourplay 4x4 guys for having us on their great property as their first group booking. The guys are definitely onto a winner and once fully setup the park will no doubt be a huge hit.
Here's a few pics Benji took and maybe some low res video if it works - dodgy camera. Gotta get a go pro!

A nice shot of Ondaboat's underside

                            Ouch!

Nice view from the passenger seat - sadly this is a close as the rain came

Those comp trucks aren't so big...from here

                            Cheers, Ben.

And here's a vid of said run. Apologies for the dodgy quality and wind noise...
