There are no barbies or amenities around the dam but there is a shop on the way in. However, while we weren't going to take it this time we have a barbie on offer. I don't mind taking it if I know someone else will use it. Just let me know. Also could stop in waroona if really needed but thought by just going to one place not that far from home shouldn't be too bad? More than open to peoples needs/wants.

There seems to be a lot of Southies on the list so I've explained to dearest that we need to balance it out a bit & represent the north. Afterall, every other trip you guys have had, we've been busy with other things.
She tells me there's an absolute mountain of housework to be done before NYE so deciding to start my new years eve resolution early to be more sensitive & supportive, I've voluntered to keep right out of her way so she can get it all done
Just need to find my south of Perth phrase book & make that damn Mr BP richer again.

Cool as just managing. Just head down the main highway into Mandurah until the traffic lights at Pinjarra Rd. You will see a ver big shopping centre on your right at the lights. Turn right there and 300mtrs up the road you will see us. See you then!

                White Prado? Yeah, great!

Firstly .... thanks Matt for organising and leading an awesome day out.

The merry band of travellers included:
MattWhite, Timtam and Little Legend Ethan,
Chippy, Bek, Tyler, Jay and Andre,
                      JeffS, Linda and son David,
                      Sharky,
Mototrim ... in the 5 day old Grande, and
                      Just*Managing.

The Maccas at Mandurah had to put up with a carpark full of Prados .. again ... Maybe they could sponsor our next trip.

We started out with a little trail work

Before a group pic by the water.

There was some nice testing uphilll and downhill work.

Jeff makes this stuff look too easy.

                      So did Mike ...

Mototrim was out in the brand new Grande ... and he certainly held his own, amongst some very modified vehicles, on these trails.

Then it was back down the hill again.

There was a little grassy spot tucked up in one corner of the dam ... it looked like a nice little crossing.

                      Well .... maybe not.

Mike just wasn't managing either ...

... and Sharky decided to see how deep this bit was ...

This is the only approved method for carrying soil and flora across state borders.

At least we had a bit of a fresh water car wash after lunch.

Then a bit of drying time.

                      Jeff picks his way through.

... and what do you do straight after a car wash ... you find some more mud of course !

Then there was a nice little mud pan ... slippery but with a hard base ... for the boys to do a little bit of circle work ...

Just don't drift too close to the edge ... it got really soft down there.

Mike stays high and dry .. for now.

Jeff decided to cover the intrepid photographer with flying mud.

                      Mike got stuck ...

                      So did Jeff.

There was heaps of recovery practice.

Oh bugger ... someone let TimTam behind the wheel.

Tell ya what ... WA has bigger potholes too ....

Matt gets some air time as the Prado's nose diappears into the hole.

                      Ready to winch ...

                      Ups a daisy ...

                      Sharky's in ...

                      ... straddling the hole ....

... and out the other side.

Matt needed a quick rinse ... something to do with 10 Kgs of mud clogging up the disk brakes.

We even got to drag one of the locals out of the mud. These crossings look really easy ... but they get real deep real quick.

                      Cheers
                      Chippy
