      I can't make it but what about a trip to Gun Point beach... That way you can let me know what the road is like

        Went to Gunn Point beach on Father's day (last minute decision). At times this road has had the worst corrugations I've ever seen anywhere, but not at the moment, it is smooth as a baby's bum!

        We took the track opposite the boat ramp turn off out to the beach, hung out there for awhile then up the beach to the end and back that way.

        By the way, there is a sign up on the southern end of the beach saying no vehicles beyond this point. We have always respected this sign and not driven any further, but we noticed heaps of tire tracks heading that way and as we were stopped a few 4WDs drove past us and down to the southern point. What's the consensus? Are you allowed to drive further or is it just some idiots not obeying the signs?

            Saw Steve (8608) today and he can't make it this sunday, but he showed me a good drive from Batchelor to Darwin River Dam then a small track to the Litchfield Rd, so if anybody keen to join me to check it out lodge your interest here, pretty sure SOL will be there

                lets meet at Noonamah United Servo at 9.00am, drive to Batchelor then the 4wding will happen. See if we can get some photos to enter next years calendar for next year with group shots, so hopefully others can join us.

                              Even Derek's 150 has more scars than mine.

                              might have to go for a drive out to telstra hill.
