SEQ - Gordon Country 6-8 July trip

The park is well sign posted with many challenging gullies and steep to very steep and rocky climbs.

120 through a creek.



Deep into the park we come across another play area. I am impressed with Clem’s 150 as it followed us all day and never got stuck although I hate to look underneath as it did bottom out many times.

The first and highest point was Bald Nob with breathtaking 360 degree views to Sydney well ok that’s a little exaggerated.

The second high point was Love Hill. Found no lovers but enormous and prolific cactus and another fantastic view. Oh yes that under the car…..no it didn't shit itself.

Looking at the camp rounds with excellent amenities block out of shot (ignore the date as Aldi windscreen cam was not set up).



We finished up in the late afternoon having another go at the playground near the entry before airing up. This is the first park I've been to where they have a compressor for you to use complimentary. It made for a very fast airing up. Nice touch The Springs.

Saturday we made our way to Gordon Country. There we met with Dan and Family and soon met up with Tiny and family already set-up camp. After a look at the camp grounds we drove to the national park and did one of the 460m walks to a lookout (will post photos once I get hold of them).
After lunch beside one of the many creek crossings we head off to explore. Unsuccessful at raising Dan or Tiny on the UHF we made our way up the range along a very muddy track that took us up along the very steep ridge.



Georgev’s missus driving and in tears but did complete this most challenging section. Well done 'M'.



Clem’s 150 stock standard followed easily.

The final crossing before coming out at the homestead, then back to the camp grounds at 5.30 pm to air up have another chat to Tiny before heading home a 2 hour drive.

Must say washing the car was a real challenge this time as the mud was so sticky it didn't want to come off.

Had a great time and will be back to camp and explore in September all going well.
Great meeting Dan and seeing Tiny again.
