I'm heading out to Newnes plateau again this Sunday for a day of pure exploration. Goal - to explore new areas of the plateau beyond the usual areas, to find new tracks and views that are worth revisiting in the future.
On this particular trip I'm setting some firm requirements and expectations:
- Max 3 vehicles
- Drivers must be happy to drive fast on easy tracks
- Drivers must be confident enough to tackle hard tracks as we find them (similar to Spanish Steps)
- Vehicles with high clearance only (Prado's must have suspension lift).
- Overgrown tracks will be avoided, but a little overgrowth will be tolerated.
- Ensure your spare tyre is suitable for off road use.
- A traction aid would be beneficial but not essential.
Please read the following disclaimer if you wish to participate on this trip. If you choose not to accept the terms & conditions therein, you are requested not to attend.

Track Difficulty:
Easy to hard, with high speed driving.
Meeting at: McDonalds at Richmond, cnr of March & Eastmarket Sts. at 8:00am, departing around 8:15 am http://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=en&bi ... CBoQnwIwAA
Finishing time is flexible; if you want to leave early it won't be a problem (but you may need to navigate your own way out). I usually finish around 4 or 5pm.
Bring: Prado, lunch, water/drinks, camera, air compressor/recovery gear if you have it, sense of adventure.
