Sorry all but I wont be making it this weekend. I've gotta go out car hunting with the other half as his POS is gonna die on us any day now, and I dont think fitting this trip and car shopping into the same day is going to work well as I just looked on Whereis.com and realised that Avoca is 260kms from my house!!
Hopefully the next trip is somewhere a bit closer..... I am thinking Narbethong would be the way to go as that place has plenty of tracks and its lots of fun.
Sorry, I cant make it, even though I just finished fitting my UHF GME TX3440.
But I did spend the last weekend testing out the range of my Prado, 900km to the first tank (very happy).
Will be looking for trip in Late Nov

Sorry to Slug and Dieselman that I didn't catch up with you, but as I indicated in my earlier post, I was up there with the Ballarat 4WD Club. We had seven cars up there (2 Prados) and stayed at the Avoca caravan park. We were a bit worried with the heavy rain on Friday, but all it did was hold down the dust.
We had a great drive around the area on the Saturday, finishing off at one of the many fantastic wineries for tastings and a big buy-up to fill the cellar.
We had a great time in this beautiful part of western Victoria and I can recommend it to anyone else planning a trip this way.
2003 Prado Grande deisel. Sovereign bar, 9500 lb Warn winch, DP chip, 3" exhaust, ARB rear diff locker, ARB dual battery and compressor, safari snorkle, GME 3440 UHF radio, reversing camera, 2 in. lift kit, DIY drawers, DIY cargo barrier, Platinum drop-down fridge slider, Engel 40l fridge, under bonnet hot water system, Kaymar dual wheel carrier rear bar, Custom Boat Loader roof rack.
No worries Brian. I was a bit surprised we didn’t see you or many others around the tracks. We did catch up with a few groups of the Exploroz mob, a very friendly lot happy to have a chat. As I was “delegated” trip leader I “delegated” the trip report to Dieselman Ive no doubt he’ll post something soon. I will just say it was a great weekend, met up with a fellow proud Prado owner, saw some great country and drove some great tracks, all with no damage!
Looking forward to the next Victorian meet up!

Spewwing we didnt end up coming!! Car shopping was sooooooooooooooo boring  and we didnt even find anything that we liked. So next time there is a trip I am definetely coming, and I will be bring along my prado hating friend in his patrol to prove that a prado is better then a patrol.
P.S There's a group on facebook now for us victorians......
Myself and the family had a great weekend in the Pyrenees and would highly recommend it to anyone. It was great to meet Mr + Mrs Slug and hopefully we will catch up again shortly for another Pradopoint meeting.

No problems Brian - we will meet up one day and hopefully we can get ALL the Victoria members in the one place at the same time. It is a great area with tracks from mild to wild (some more so than others in the wet  ) and quite a few wineries that the wife and I would like to visit one day.
I will write up the trip report once I have all the photos - I can tell you all there were a few anxious moments near the top of a damp hill but it all ended well with only a damaged pride ops:
Has anyone decided on the next trip??? I'm keen as!!
Met a fellow PP'er today at the supermarket (they dont have a PP sticker though but they spotted mine) when I mentioned the trips PP does every now and then they seemed pretty keen so I guess thats another one to tag along....
I guess most of us are probably on holidays still until the 12th (next monday  ) so something between now and then (even though its so close    ) would be nice!! :P
