My shocks we Bilstein and had about 50k on them. The seals did not go, but they just did not handle the work. My spares were Tough Dog Big Bore and that's what I will stick with. I am going to the 4x4 shop this afternoon to order the Tough Dog for the front as the bushes are shot.

No good about you Bilstein shocks, 2 of mine started to leak around 60k I think and that's why there out and I now run dobinsons and I was very happy how the car went on the Simpson trip and Fraser island .

Great report makes me want to go back already .

When we got up they were holding onto ropes like they were holding onto a giant kite flying well of the ground. After a while they managed to move their GU into position to act as a wind break and as a solid tie down point. Nobody body got much sleep that night.
So that would have been the night of Wed Sept 25th? We were in the Gammon's that night and the wind was horrendous. Luckily, we were staying at Grindell's hut and all we had to do was secure the doors and windows. It was like a hurricane, glad we were not in a tent.

Yes it was the 25th. the wind was running parallel to the dunes so we had no protection.

The soft, flexible, ones are more resilient but normally don't give the same height.
Thanks, I have the same flag and mount from Ian. I haven't mounted mine yet and was thinking on the side wing. Might have to see if it will fit the same way you have mounted it.
