Ahh just checked and its a long life coolant with antifreeze additive too. Never had the need to check before.
Will be giving the old girl a service this week though.

    Cheers Ben.

Kurt that's good about the filter change, maybe it was on its way out . More power for you more rooster tails.
Is it wrong to say I could play in the snow every weekend, Heavy snow falls wed, thur maybe day trip again lol.
Then if it stays cold up there Ben will be coming over the week after .

I can see my roster not working with some of these trips.

You shouldn't have to worry about cooking the brakes!

Yeah if it green or red, it should be red, it has antifreeze, not sure how much but any amount will be ok for about 0 degrees.

If your planning on swagging it in the snow, I'd be thinking some seriously warm clothes, & hot water bottles and a an electric blanket, you can take a bottle to bed to save you getting up at night, then use it as a hot bottle :-)
As far as other gear goes, any usual recoveries gear & snow chains only if you have them. But you should be right.

Cheers mate. It's red coolant - should be sweet. I'll be sure to pack the thermals! Might look into a couple of 12v electric blankets!

            Cheers Ben.

Thinking Sunday, meet at Maccas moe, 10am.
In via a few tracks, up to usefull which is in the mid 1400's, hope we can make it up :-)
Then from there over to Selma., hope we can make it up. Snow might be deep.

What do we think? Could be the best snow day in July.

P.s Robyn tells me some Aldi's still have now chains.

                      Great day out lol.
I don't know how you guys got that second nut of with the spanner. I was unable to do is when I changed the filter, I had to use the socket as I couldn't get the spanner onto the nut and turn it with the design of the filter. I didn't try the special Dave position of climbing into the engine bay, but I don't think that would have helped me.

I was surprised at how loud that stick in the brakes was on Dave's car. I had no problems hearing it from our car at 80kph in front of him. It is good to know that they can pick up sticks there and that what it sounds like in case it happens in the future.

A Sunday snow trip sounds good to me, as we have kids sports most Saturdays and it is also the day the Missus likes me looking for a new house.

Ill see how we go for Sunday. My method for working on the engine is only for short people that cant reach anything hehe. That noise from my brakes was sooooo LOUD inside the cab of my car and I am glad it was only a stick and not a stone. Also glad it didn't catch fire and glad it was cold.
