Mentioned to a fela at work that we were going to hoffmans mill. He said he used to live there :shock:
Aparantly there is a nice swimming hole around there called the "8 footer"

Will get more directions tomorrow.

Should have the aerial repaired by then to hear the chatter on 16.

Ps, dont wait around camp for us, we will set up and put up our feet.

Cricket! You beauty - make up for missing out last time.

We are definately going through Armadale, rather than the Freeway. Distance/time is much of a muchness from the middle of Perth :lol: and diesel in Armadale is about 10c/L cheaper than where we live, so we'll go that way and fill up.

Well we are home, unpacked, clean, car cleaned out. been for a ride on the bike, played XBOX and now just finally checking the thread.

Ill have to do the camera stuff soon, then I'll post a link.
Not many pics tho I'm afraid. But some cool snake wrangling video....

TOP weekend, TOP company.
Good to see all the regulars and some new faces aswell.

What a fantastic long weekend. As you come to expect with this WA crowd .... the company - fantastic, the tall stories - entertaining, the collective expertise - amazing, and the Leachy stunt work - breath taking :lol: :lol: :lol:

The regrowth after last lot of bushfires is pretty stunning


Fishnut found a great hill climb to start the morning off








Fishnut had dropped Deb off to take some pics ... and then abandoned her by the side of the road :lol:


Even Leachy couldn't get past this obstacle ...


Stopped for a bit of a swim






Then Mitch lets the Prado have a swim


Gary goes for a swim too


There was a couple of fun moments on the way to the next swim










An afternoon spent at the beach

Yeah I know Jeff, but I think we must have way too much stuff. Last to pack and I've just vacuumed, cleaned the camper and washed the outside. Still got to clean the car! :roll: Stained the street AGAIN with red dirt. I think we might have to do a re-think on what we need. Too much c**p me thinks!

Like you said, really great company and can't wait for the next one! And some rain for the dust! :wink:

Its a good thing bringing a cruiser along ... send them first through tight tracks and they make everything wide enough so the Prados don't get a scratch.

A great advert for Pradopoint WA


Island Pool .... also bumped into another Pradopointer down here ... Parksy.




Very dusty conditions




Making tracks. A tree had fallen across the track and there was nowhere else to go .. the track was so tight that reverse was going to be a scary option .... so we went around.


The Leachy descent






Tried getting a little bit of video here ... hope it works :?


Then wine, beer and nibbles by the water ... while the kids had a dip




Then we spotted a visitor on the way home


So what do you do when you meet a snake on the track ... you pick it up and play with it :lol: :lol: :lol:

Fishnut .. being a biologist .. was able to identify it as a Children's Python and let the kids have a look close up.






This all happened in the dark ... with the help of a couple of floodlights


All hooked up and ready to go

... and this poor bloke felt so left out he just had to stop on the wall and take his own pic of all the Prados
