That's great thanks. I'd like to spend a bit of time in Bright. It looked a lovely spot when we went through

Wow what a great report r4ndll,
I have travelled this area extensively and reading your day by day account has got the juices flowing again to get back up to the High Country later this year. We would normally set-up base camp in either Bright or the Buckland Valley and head out for day trips. We completed BlueRag for the first time with my 12 YO daughter by my side on Boxing Day 2012 and I cannot recall ever seeing this much traffic on a 4WD track, however it was pleasing to note that the 4wd community was as usual courteous, patient and very humorous on the UHF this day.

There are several areas you have covered here that are on my list for this Christmas break to do again, it is amazing that when you read and see photos like these how much it invigorates the soul to want to get back out there.

I have already started planning (happy snap attached of our BlueRag adventure on the Trigg point)

        Cheers Mystic

What a great place to spend Xmas. I loved it up there and would love to get back to see a bit more (We only did the bottom part of Blue Rag before turning off onto Basalt Knob for instance). But this is a bloody big country and there's heaps more to see and do, so don't know when I'll be back. Although its not that bad a drive from Sydney.

Currenty mulling the idea of North Simpson next year, but also planning on attending the Tas GTG so who knows. So much land, so few SWMBO has said I need to start taking her and the kids (6,4,2months) so that will limit us a bit too, as we're trying to visit bits of the country I haven't seen. So much land, so few holidays! Although we're kicking the idea around of dragging them round the country for a year sometime in the next few years before high school
