Hi all,

I'm going out to City View 4WD park this Sunday and Macaroon1 will be joining me. I've never been myself so should be fun. Thought I'd start a new thread for any more people interested to come along and give the tracks a go. I'm bringing my wife and 2 kids (boys aged 5 and 9) if anyone else wants to bring the family.

Sorry, can't make this one. Have a good day though. It was pretty good last time I was out there but I imagine it'll be a bit more hairy with this rain.

Well Macaroon1 and I went out today and had a great time. Ended on a downer as I couldn't get my Prado up a very dusty steep hill with a large rock ledge. Not enough clearance under the rear diff.
Anyway, here's some pics of the day. Most of the hard stuff we didn't take any pics as were too busy guiding each other through it. The tracks were really rutted out and some of the "easy to medium" tracks were too hard.

Thoroughly enjoyed my day with Billz0r. However like my first trip there, I again wrecked my RHS OEM sidestep, however this time on the way out of the frigging park!! Avoiding Steve (owner) on the dozer I moved to the right and crunch down a rock ledge and smash again and I was on the driveway!! I'll just have to get AJ120's sidesteps on which have been sitting in my garage for too long. I went a few years ago after a good rainfall however the place was a lot more rutted now. A lot of the moderate tracks looked very hard..lockers and lift etc. Talked to the other owner and she'd forgotten how to mow for the last few years!!

Just gunna have to put those sliders on now as one's hanging off.

Another very hot day, although the recent rain may have helped things a little??

Yep, after failing the first time I thought why not. Thing is when I got up there was a big hole that I "fell" into. That's what stopped me at the top but managed to keep it going.

It was interesting comparing my petrol to the diesel. The diesel could crawl a lot better whilst mine was more "eager to go"

Thanks for the offer but I've aftermarket sliders sitting in my shed just waiting to go on. Was going to do it before I went just ran out of time. I'm only pissed as I can't sell as a pair now! One I broke was a breakers replacement owing to one a broke from previous City View.

FYI City View is the ex Scenic Rim, amalgamated together. AFAIK S. Rim did not extend their lease on their side of property so City View took it over hence the reason it has two sides....gates and fences etc...so still two separate leases/properties?? Scenic Rim have moved???

Don't forget I also have Traction control...a great feature, but the Diesels certainly have more Torque. However, BillzoR certainly gave a few places very liberal right foot...to keep the beast going forward, the dust from the stills is where it's still settling from previous tries, you may have lost a few mm of rubber on that trip??

NIGHT RUN!!! 24th of may meeting at the top camp ground at 5pm for a 5:30-6 start.
Finish when youve had enough or 3am whichever comes first, normal park fees apply.
Bring anything from standard rigs to your buggies. Rating is easy-med with hard-extreme options so come out have a ball and support your local playground while your at it.
Since night driving is not normally permitted after 8pm at the park, take this opportunity to see the city lights and the difference of driving the tracks after dark.
