Hi all.

I have been in touch with the Weipa Caravan and Camping Ground about our group.

They strongly recommend we book in advance so we need to get this one done too.

As a group would people prefer an unpowered site facing the water or powered site in the middle?

There are Villas there if people prefer.

We are here for 2 nights so what are your thoughts?

Fees are $30 for unpowered (2 adults) or $35 for powered.
Additional adults $10, children $3.50

Just booked site 10 at Eliot Falls. The last one!

Facing the water would be my preference too.

I will call to make a booking Monday morning and post up which sites for you guys to book for yourselves when ready.

For you to book they take name and credit card details.
They take payment the morning of the day you are due to arrive.

Hi Folks, I haven't hade much to do with this site since joining and I hope im not intruding but is it too late to tag along on this trip with you all?, I was planning on heading up in August however it sounds much safer to be traveling with numbers! Hi Shannon, never too late. You've just missed out on camping at Elliot falls campground is all. There's another campground a couple of k's up the road though so no big deal. See the other recent posts to make your bookings at coconut resort cairns and Weipa. Welcome to the trip.

I have booked in July 7th and 8th at Weipa Caravan & Camping Ground.

I am in Campsite UP10 and have reserved UP9, UP11, UP12, UP13, UP14 and UP15 for you guys and family.

Can you please call the office on 07 4069 7871 and confirm one of these sites under your name and with your credit card.

Your payment will be processed on your card the morning we are due to arrive.

Please ensure you call and give them payment details by this Wednesday 16/04 to avoid the Reserved sites being lost.

Please let me know once you are fully booked in.

I have booked in at Cairns for the 25th June at Coconut resort
And I have taken one of the spots you reserved at Weipa for the 7th and 8th July (thanks Dan )
Unfortunately we did miss out on scoring a spot at Elliott Falls but as mentioned earlier there I'd a camp ground not too far from there !

Ok, confirmed a spot at the Cairns Coconut for 25/6, and site UP12 at Weipa for 7/7 and 8/7.

Also made a list of all the things the car needs before leaving - it's gonna be a busy and expensive couple of months

G'day Dan, I've just booked in @ Coconut Resort for the 24th & 25th of June, the lady I just spoke to told me that I didn't need to pay a deposit and it was fine to just pay upon arrival.

I just called Coconut Resort back because I forgot to tell them that there was two adults, and Kathy told me that they do require a deposit, which is now done.

I've spoken to Patsy at Loyalty Beach Campground and booked in the 6 vehicles for 3rd to 6th July.

No deposit was required but will need to confirm this booking at least a week out.
