On the way out, we took Bex Rd which took us back onto Rover Trail. I saw a little side track that I thought I would investigate and sees where it went..... To my surprise I came across this:
I thought I would have a little go, but not wanting to break anything due to the long drive home, I didn't try too hard..... not that i had any chance of conquering it anyhow....

Air-up time... ready for that long drive home:
Great trip report guys.
Bex Trail is one of the tracks I did along with Georgev recently. I recognise that very spot as we had to build the track (you can still see the logs we placed on the left of the second photo) and used the maxtrax to form a bridge.

Ok, here's my contribution to the report. Not much to add to Gumboot's fine report, except to agree that it was a great weekend even if the Ratio of Blacktop to Dirt was biased toward the bitumen, but the drive down and back up was pleasant nonetheless. I had my little navi (Ronan aged 10) alongside me for the weekend as I always do. On with the pics, some are iPhone, some are from my tired compact, so forgive the quality...
Rover Trail Start, time to Air down. 25psi was the chosen value for this trip
Nice 'n' steep climbs straight away
And some fun descents

This section required some careful maneuvering as the nasty camber that the images fail pick up threatened to cause the vehicle to slide sideways into the wall with the tree root. The next two video's are short grabs of the moments that the Prados were positioned to slide round and setup to avoid this from happening
Thanks a tonne for the report and all the photos guys. You've certainly increased my interested in visiting this place!! Those tracks look like good fun - at least in the dry. I wonder what wet conditions are like? I'm going to put this spot down for Xmas/NYE holidays - who's keen?
Looks good guys love the write up and the photo's. There is plenty of good tracks down around coff's. Commando Trail is good for me but the Army is to steep for my Prado at the moment need more clarence and still waiting for some good tyres. I always look for the lockers when going down there in that country.
