About the only set part of our plans are to be at Drysdale River Station on weekned of 9th & 10th August. I'll be leaving the Prado in Tassie and driving a Hilux.Comment

in 7 days time we will be passing thru Kunnunurra to tackle all places in the Kimberleys. I'll keep a look out for other PP's. My rig won't be hard to miss so come and say Hi.

Me and my then girl friend (now wife) got as far up as the Barnett River in a Camira station wagon
back in 1986, but had to turn back as the river was running several metres deep. We sat and watched a couple on the other side strip down their Kombi van as they were hoping to float it across but we never stayed long enough to see what happened.

For those of us with no camper trailer, other than the obvious tenting, swag, sleeping in the car, etc are there enough motels/b&b to get this trip done?Comment

Best bet is to take a tent. There are not really many b&b and the places that do have them are expensive. El Questro do offer it, not sure about home valley as I didn't stop there. Can't think of any others, not that i was looking for them either though.Comment

ElQuestro do units, Home Valley does units and Safari tents, Ellenbrae also have a few rooms. Also Mt Elisabeth has a few rooms. Not sure about anywhere else. Id suggest a tent or swag too.Can't we just keep travelling?
